Mark grew up in Bowie, MD a suburb of Washington D.C. where he worked in the Financial Industry which included both insurance and securities.  In 1989, he and his wife Lydia moved to the Memphis, TN area where he started a Nationwide Insurance Agency.

In 1997, he joined Liberty Mutual to specialize in Commercial Property and Casualty Underwriting. While at Liberty Mutual, he met Ken Brady. In 1999, they both decided to leave Liberty Mutual to form Corporate Insurance Group (CIG).

Since August of 1999, Corporate Insurance Group has insured a multitude of customers mostly in the South Eastern United States and the Eastern Seaboard.
